During the
first half of the 2009 – 2010 concert season, the Latvian Radio Choir
will make appointments with the audience under the framework of well-known
festivals and tradition-rich concert cycles, offering classical values,
several first performances of pieces of Latvian music, as well as a
number of experiments in the field of sonic art. The Latvian Radio Choir
will be heard via radio programmes from Latvia and other countries,
and seen on Mezzo, the French TV channel.
Composer Ēriks Ešenvalds and Latvian Radio choir wins ROSTRUM.
Ēriks Ešenvalds and Latvian Radio choir wins the 53rd International Rostrum of
Composers (IRC), organized by the International Music Council in cooperation
with Radio France and with the financial support of UNESCO.
Latvian Radio choir receives The Great Music Award 2005
On 3rd March, 2006 Latvian Radio choir will receive The Great Music Award 2005 -
the highest prize given by the Latvian state in the field of music - for
concerts in Latvia and Latvian music popularization abroad.
