In the fall of 2021, in preparation for his 70th birthday celebrations, the composer Mārtiņš Brauns, together with the conductor Sigvardas Kļava, created a program of songs to celebrate both his and Latvia's jubilee.
Mārtiņš participated mostly as a pianist in performances of his works, but rarely sang in concerts. However, it seems that only his creative spark and unmistakable voice could most accurately read the tempo and emotional temperature of the music he composed. Mārtiņš also wanted to discover this program of songs, mostly chosen by himself, by singing.
